Moroccan Pancakes

This is a pancake recipe that I learned from my Moroccan friend. Apparently, this is a popular food for Muslims during Ramadan. It's chewy and delicious.

Ingredients: 8 pancakes

Plain flour
1 cup
Water + milk
1 cup
1 scant teaspoon
Baking powder
1 teaspoon


1. Add all the ingredients to the flour (Moroccans use whole wheat flour) and mix well.
2. Put Step 1 in the refrigerator and let sit for 30 minutes.
3. Lightly oil or butter a well-heated frying pan. Cook the pancake and once it bubbles, flip it over. Cook the other side well and it's done.
4. Moroccans eat them with honey, but I eat it with salad. It's so chewy and delicious! This time, I filled the ones shown in the picture above with Korean japchae. It's not bad at all!
