Thai-Style Yakisoba Noodles with Fish Sauce

I love fish sauce, so I made a Thai style yakisoba noodle dish. It's spicy and delicious! Please give it a try.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Yakisoba noodles (soft "uncooked" type)
1 pack
Thinly sliced pork belly
2 slices
1 clove
Shiso leaves
2 leaves
Small shrimp (sakura shrimp or white shrimp)
about 2 tablespoons
Red chili pepper
Fish sauce
about 2 tablespoons
1/2 teaspoon
a small amount
50 ml plus
Use whatever vegetables you like!
Green pepper
1 small
1/3 of a small carrot
1/4 of a small onion
2 to 3 leaves
Roasted rice powder
To taste, optional


1. Cut up the pork, onion, cabbage and bell pepper into bite sized pieces. Cut the carrot into rectangular slices. Finely julienne the shiso leaves. Slice the garlic and red chili pepper.
2. Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan and start stir frying the pork over medium heat.
3. When the meat has started to color, add the onion, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage and garlic in that order, and stir fry.
4. Next, add the noodles and shrimp and mix quickly. Add the water, put a lid on the frying pan and steam-cook over high heat for 30 seconds.
5. Take the lid off, add the shiso and chili pepper, and mix well
6. Season with salt and pepper, then swirl in the fish sauce at the end. Mix well. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy.
7. Sprinkle with some roasted rice powder to taste, if available.
