Egg Mochi

If you have leftover mochi, make this hassle-free okonomiyaki-style dish.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Mochi
1-2 portions
Egg
1
Vegetable oil
as needed
Okonomiyaki sauce
as desired
Mayonnaise
as desired

Steps

1. Heat vegetable oil in the frying pan, and fry the mochi until browned. Next, press down with a spatula to flatten.
2. Crack the egg over the top of the mochi and break the yolk. Once the egg has solidified, flip everything over and fry for a bit.
3. Top with okonomiyaki sauce and mayo, and serve!

Story Behind this Recipe

I was trying to think of something to do with leftover mochi, and came up with this. My husband loved it, and all my mochi are gone now.
