Easy Sweet Bean Buns with Pancake Mix

These buns will be ready in no time, so hungry kids don't have to wait.

Ingredients: 8 buns

Pancake mix
200 g
1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
Store-bought anko
160 g (20 g x 8 buns)
Black sesame seeds
as needed


1. Beat the egg and set aside 1 teaspoon. You'll use it for glazing the buns before baking.
2. Mix the pancake mix, egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Knead until the dough becomes soft and moist.
3. Divide into 8 portions and press down with a hand to flatten. Wrap the anko with the dough.
4. Brush with the beaten egg which was set aside during Step 1, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 170℃.

I made this for my kids who love anko. I followed the instructions on the pancake mix package, which was for making doughnuts, to make this dough.
