Menchi Katsu Style Ground Pork Fritters

Menchi Katsu Style Ground Pork Fritters

They're crispy and juicy! I packed them in bento.

Ingredients: 6 (3 cm diameter)

Ground pork
100 g
1 teaspoon
●Cooking sake
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
●Grated garlic
1/4 teaspoon
●Grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon
as needed
☆White flour
1 tablespoon
☆The leftover egg after making tamagoyaki
a tiny bit
1/2 teaspoon
a pinch
Vegetable oil
3 to 4 tablespoons

1. I used the batter leftovers from "usatarou's" Isobe Fries - Recipe ID: 580456. The ingredients used are marked ☆.
2. Mix the ground pork with ● flavoring ingredients. You don't need to leave it for too long, maybe about 5 minutes.
3. Divide the meat mixture from Step 2 into the portion sizes you want and form into balls. Flatten and coat with the coating from Step 1, and cover with panko.
4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Tilt the frying pan and shallow-fry the pork fritters.
5. They are done if the juices run clear when you poke into one with a skewer, just like hamburgers. Bon appetit!

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make something with leftovers, so I referred to other recipes and made these.
