Easy & Satisfying Carbonara

Can you believe this recipe only uses about 100 yen's worth of ingredients?
This is a soft and delicious pasta that is easy and garlicky with softly melting cheese and egg yolk.

Ingredients: 1 serving

2 slices
1 clove
*Easy-melting cheese
1 slice
*Egg yolk
50 ml
*Coarsely ground black pepper
a lot


1. Slice the onion and garlic, cut the bacon into 1 cm strips. Break up the cheese into chunks. Mix together the * ingredients.
2. Heat garlic in oil, then add the onion and bacon and stir fry. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Boil the pasta. Once boiled, add to the pan from Step 2 and toss. Turn off the heat!
4. Add the * ingredients into the pan and mix until thickened. If it doesn't thicken, heat while stirring over low heat. Enjoy!

Story Behind this Recipe

Parmesan cheese is expensive, and heavy cream is full of calories, but, I want to eat a rich carbonara!
That's when I decided to make some with ingredients that I could use without worrying about my wallet too much.
This is a hit with my friends whenever I share the recipe with them!
