Tomato Basil Pesto Sauce

Tomato Basil Pesto Sauce

A sauce made of tomato sauce, basil pesto, and chili peppers. Toss with spaghetti or gnocchi.

Ingredients: 2 servings

200 g
1 teaspoon
2 cloves
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Canned tomatoes
Water or bouillion (optional)
20-30 ml
Chili flakes or cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon upwards (a small amount)
Salt and pepper
a dash each

2 tablespoons
Black pepper
a dash
Grated cheese, pecorino, parmesan, etc.
as desired
Bacon (optional)
4-5 slices


1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and cook the finely chopped garlic on low heat. Boil the spaghetti in a pot filled with salted water.
2. Add the can of tomatoes to the frying pan. If there isn't enough moisture, add water and let simmer. Add the chili and pesto genovese. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
3. Once it has simmered for a little longer, add the pasta (cooked al dente), and it's done. Top with grated cheese and black pepper, and enjoy.
4. This one is with bacon.
