Herb Butter with Chives

Try this on toast or baguettes!
Add to potatoes or meunière for a greater richness and flavour.


Butter (cultured)
100 g
Fresh chives
1-2 tablespoons
Lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon
a small amount
* Finely chopped garlic or garlic powder
if desired


1. Put the butter in a bowl and soften at room temperature.
2. Mix the finely chopped chives, lemon juice, pepper and garlic (if desired) evenly into the butter.
3. Leave to chill and harden in the fridge. It's best enjoyed from the next day, when all the flavours have blended.
