Chicken with Salted Gravy in the Microwave

Chicken with Salted Gravy in the Microwave

This chicken is cooked in the microwave and is tender and juicy! I make this for my husband when he comes home late and serve it piping hot.

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Chicken thigh meat
300-400 g
Leeks (the white part)
Green onion or scallion (optional)
to taste
★ Salt
1/2 teaspoon
★ Sake and katakuriko
1 tablespoon each
● Water or hot water
50 ml
● Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
● Coarsely ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
● Weipa
1 heaping teaspoon
● Honey
1 teaspoon

1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add with the ★ ingredients. Rub the bag well to let the flavors penetrate. Slice the leek thinly on the diagonal. Cut up the thin green onion finely.
2. Line the chicken pieces in a large or deep heatproof dish and nestle the leek in between the chicken. Combine the ● ingredients in a separate container.
3. Just before you cook the chicken in the microwave, add the combined ● ingredients and cover the container loosely with plastic wrap. Microwave for 7 minutes at 600 W.
4. Add the chopped green onion as soon as it's cooked, and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I saw this in the readymade food section of the supermarket and recreated it at home.
