Easy Naan in a Bread Machine

Make these in your bread maker! There's no need to let the dough rise twice or to use your oven. These delicious naan are chewy, fluffy and crispy, and are great served with curry!!

Ingredients: 2 naan

Lys d'or (French bread flour)
150 g
Or use a blend of half bread flour and cake flour
60 g
40 g
20 g
10 g
Or vegetable/olive oil
1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder
2/3 teaspoon
Dry yeast
2/3 teaspoon


1. Put all the ingredients in the bread maker and start making the dough. (Put the dry yeast in its compartment.)
2. When the dough is done, take it out, press down on it to deflate, and split it in half. Roll into two portions and let sit for 15 minutes.
3. Roll the dough out thinly in a triangle shape on a surface dusted with flour. Grill until both sides are browned.

Story Behind this Recipe

I recreated the naan served at my favourite Indian restaurant. The menu says it is hand-stretched naan made with a generous amount of milk, so I included a lot of milk in this recipe.
