Mince the raw onions, and mix into the ingredients.
Shape into patties.
Coat the patties first in flour, then in a beaten egg, and finally in panko.
After adjusting the patties, fry in oil at 170°C.
Shape them into mini bite sizes if packing in your bento.

I deep fried my hamburger steaks.
Neaten the katsu after coating in panko, before you drop them into the hot oil. Raw onions can be used. For those that don't like raw onions, lightly sear the onions beforehand. If you cook it instead of frying it, you'll end up with hamburger steaks.
