Moist and Rich Pound Cake

There are chopped chocolate bites in the batter, so the texture is amazing. I used heavy cream so it's easy to mix, and easy to make even for beginners.

Ingredients: 18 cm pound cake mold

30 g
Heavy cream
80 ml
60 g
White flour
85 g
Cocoa powder
15 g
Chopped chocolate
80 g


1. Whisk the softened butter and sugar, then add the egg and heavy cream. I doubled the recipe, so I used 2 eggs as seen in the photo.
2. When mixed, it should look like this.
3. In a separate bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together.
4. Add Step 3 into 2, and mix. You don't need to be so particular about this.
5. When Step 4 is blended, add the chopped chocolate into the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the mold and level the surface.
7. Bake in the oven for 30 ~ 40 minutes at 180℃.

Story Behind this Recipe

Even if you don't have enough butter, you can substitute with heavy cream.
Surprisingly, it was easy to make a rich and thick chocolate pound cake.
