Simmered Chikuwa and Wakame Seaweed (Great for Lunchboxes)

Make this as a bento space-filler, or when you want one more item for dinner. It's made with easy-on-your-budget chikuwa fish sticks.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chikuwa
2 1/2 sticks
Wakame seaweed (dried)
about 1 1/2 teaspoons
◎ Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
3 tablespoons
◎ Real mirin
2 teaspoons
◎ Water
20 ml

Steps

1. Cut each chikuwa in half lengthwise, then slice diagonally into 4 pieces. Rehydrate the wakame seaweed in water, then squeeze out.
2. Add the ingredients marked ◎ and simmer over medium-low heat.
3. Done.
