Press and drain off the excess moisture from the tofu well, and mix with the rest of the ingredients thoroughly. When the mixture is evenly mixed, it's ready!
Divide into four equal parts and form into patties by gently tossing the formed mixture lightly between both hands. Pan fry the formed patties on both sides until browned. Remember to lid the pan.
It's done in no time. It's great with grated daikon radish and ponzu sauce, or with julienned shiso leaves scattered on top.
Story Behind this Recipe
I wanted to eat something delicious even with my diet. This fluffy and juicy hamburger is very low in calories because it has tofu and ground chicken in it (you can use ground pork, too)!
When you add the egg the mixture will become very soft. You might wonder "Is this right!?", but there's no problem; Just plop the mixture into the frying pan. No need to add breadcrumbs or flour. In a pinch, you can even omit the egg.
