Cornbread

In Hawaii, I often saw cornbread in the bakery section of grocery stores. This bread is on the sweeter side.

Ingredients

Cake flour
160 g
Corn meal
100 g
Baking powder
2 teaspoons
Sugar
100 g
Salt
a small amount
Butter
80 g
Milk
100 ml
Whole egg

Steps

1. In a bowl, combine the corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
2. In another bowl, melt the butter. Heat the milk until it's warm to the touch, add to the butter and combine.
3. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients and the milk and butter mixture along with beaten egg and fold in.
4. Pour the batter in a mold and bake at 170℃ preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
5. Done.
