Chili Con Carne Style Onion Meat Sauce

Chili Con Carne Style Onion Meat Sauce

This dish is a combination of chili con carne and meat sauce. The sweetness of the onions make this an exquisite chili. It goes well with bread, rice, or noodles.

Ingredients: An easily made amount

2 medium (400~450g)
2 cloves
Ground meat (mixed pork and beef, or just pork)
Canned crushed tomatoes
1 can (400 g)
Red wine (optional)
☆ Salt
1/3 teaspoon
☆ Pepper
1/3 teaspoon
☆ Chili powder
1~2 tablespoons (or to taste)
☆ Nutmeg
1 teaspoon
☆ Cinnamon
2 teaspoons
☆ Soup stock cubes
1 (or 3 teaspoons of stock granules)
☆ Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
2 tablespoons

1. Measure out the ingredients. Mince the onions, grate the garlic, combine the ☆ ingredients in a small dish. Lay out the other ingredients individually.
2. Stir fry the ground meat in a nonstick pan.
3. When the meat has changed colour and released its grease, drain the grease and transfer the meat to a plate. Wipe the pan with paper towels.
4. In the same pan, heat olive oil, and cook the onion and garlic until transparent. Add the meat back into the pan and cook some more, while mixing thoroughly.
5. Once the ingredients from Step 4 have been thoroughly mixed, add , and incorporate.
6. Add the tomatoes and wine. Mix for about 5 minutes, crushing the tomatoes with the back of a ladle.
7. When it looks like this, it's done.
8. You can serve this dish in many ways, so store in your freezer. Here I have layered with mashed potatoes.
9. It's also very good with pasta. Your guests will be delighted if you serve it as a party dip too.
