Simple Rice Pilaf in the Microwave

Simple Rice Pilaf in the Microwave

You can use leftover rice to make some simple pilaf in the microwave. You can mix it with whatever ingredients you have in the fridge too. It has a very simple flavor.

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Leftover rice
3 bowls
Frozen mixed vegetables
about 1 cup
Wiener sausage
3 large
Soup stock cubes
0.5-1 cube
Salt and pepper
to taste
Butter or margarine
1 teaspoon

1. Slice the wieners and add them to a heat-resistant bowl with the vegetables. Cover the bowl with cling film and heat it up for 3 minutes in the microwave.
2. Add the rice to the bowl as well, along with a crushed soup stock cube and some salt and pepper. Lightly mix everything together, cover it with cling film, and then put it back in the microwave for 2 more minutes.
3. While the rice is still hot, add the butter or margarine and mix it in. If you feel that the taste is still a little weak, adjust it with some salt and pepper.

Story Behind this Recipe

It was so hot and I didn't want to make anything, but I had to do dinner so I decided to just throw something together with what I had in the fridge.
