Really Delicious! Chicken Stir-fry with Miso and Mayonnaise

This is easy to make but really tasty. Both kids and adults love this dish. It will whet your appetite and you'll eat lots of rice.

Ingredients: 2 - 3 servings

Chicken breasts
1 - 2
☆ Miso
1 tablespoon
☆ Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon
☆ Sake
1 tablespoon
☆ Mirin
1 tablespoon
☆ Sugar
1 teaspoon
☆ Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
☆ Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
☆ Garlic
1 clove (optional)
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Green onions
as needed


1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, and lightly season with salt and pepper.
2. Combine the ingredients marked ☆ and set aside.
3. Lightly coat a frying pan with oil and fry both sides of the meat until golden brown. Drizzle in the mixed ☆ ingredients.
4. Let the flavours blend and coat the chicken evenly. After frying a little, the moisture will evaporate and the sauce will have a thick, teriyaki-like texture. Remove from the heat.
5. Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with green onions, and it's done.
6. The miso and mayonnaise mixture was originally a hamburger sauce, so it goes really well with hamburger patties. Children will enjoy it without the garlic as well.

Story Behind this Recipe

A hamburger restaurant that has now closed used to serve miso and sesame hamburgers. I wanted to eat it one more time, so I tried making this. The sauce is a bit different from what was used in the restaurant, but it goes perfectly with chicken!
