Put all the ingredients except the sliced almonds in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Pour the batter into the cupcake moulds and sprinkle the sliced almonds.
Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C until done.

Story Behind this Recipe
I wanted to make scones, but realised that I didn't have enough cake flour. I tried mixing bread flour, banana and other ingredients together, poured the mixture into moulds, baked it in the oven, and I ended up with tasty cupcakes.
If you aren't using a food processor, combine the egg, sugar, melted butter, milk and crushed banana into a bowl in that order, and mix with a whisk at each addition. Add the dry ingredients last, and mix in a cutting motion. Adjust the baking time according to your oven.
