Healthy Gyuudon (Beef & Rice Bowl) with Shirataki Noodles

This gyuudon is a beef and rice bowl with shirataki noodles added. It's very filling.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Beef
300 g
Onion
1/2
Shirataki noodles
1 bag
★ Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
★ Mirin
2 tablespoons
★ Sake
2 tablespoons
★ Japanese dashi stock
200 ml
Plain cooked rice
2 rice cooker cups worth (360 ml uncooked)
Red pickled ginger
as needed

Steps

1. Blanch the shirataki noodles and cut them into pieces. Cut the onion into 1 cm pieces.
2. Add the dashi stock to a pot. Bring to a boil and add the beef, onions, and shirataki. Add the ★ ingredients. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. It's done.
3. Fill a bowl with rice. Top with the gyuudon ingredients and garnish with red pickled ginger or a poached egg.
