Soy Sauce Marinated Salmon Roe Salmon Rice Bowl

The sensation of the homemade salmon roe popping in your mouth is irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Fresh salted salmon roe
300 g
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
White rice
2.5 rice cooker cups (uncooked 450 ml)
Shiso leaves
4 leaves
Nori seaweed
as needed
to taste
Soy sauce
to taste


1. While soaking the salmon roe in about 40°C water, peel off the thin skins and disperse the eggs.
2. Drain in a colander and gently use a knife to cut off tje remaining membrane.
3. Place the roe in a dish, add the flavoring ingredients, and marinate for at least 5 hours.
4. Here is what the salmon roe looks like at 5 hours. They become nice and plump.
5. Put some rice in a dish, place the shiso leaves on top, and then top with the salmon roe, wasabi, and nori. Pour on some soy sauce and serve.
