Easy Blueberries in Syrup

Easy Blueberries in Syrup

I marinated blueberries in a syrup.
Use in various baked goods, a topping for yogurt, or even as a juice.

2 cups
1 cup
Sugar (any type)
1 cup
Rum or brandy
3 tablespoons
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon

1. Gently wash the blueberries and wipe off the excess moisture. Sterilize a preserving jar by boiling.
2. Put the water and sugar into a pot and let it boil for about 5 minutes. Once it has cooled, add the brandy and lemon juice.
3. Put the blueberries from Step 1 into the preserving jar and then pour in Step 3.
