Saffron Basmati Rice

You can make lovely saffron rice in a rice cooker. It's a mix of yellow and white rice.

Ingredients: 2~3 servings

Basmati rice
250 ml
as needed


1. Put the basmati rice and water in a rice cooker and cook as usual.
2. Heat the saffron in the microwave on low for 1 minute. Add 1 tablespoon of hot water to bring out the color.
3. Mix the cooked rice well and pour the saffron liquid around the edges.
4. Use a spoon to mix in one place to make saffron rice.
5. When the yellow has become evenly distributed, mix the saffron rice into the white parts.
6. Transfer to a plate and it's done. Pack into a bowl and flip over.
7. It goes great with sautéed fish.
8. Have it with some simmered meatballs and vegetables.
