Bitter Melon Side Dish

This is so easy! It's a nice side dish. Chill well before eating, and it will help you beat the summer heat that you'll want to eat it every day.


Bitter melon
☆Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
☆Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
Red chilli pepper (Optional)
A little
Bonito flakes
A little


1. Remove the with pith of the bitter lemon with a spoon, and slice it as thinly as possible.
2. Boil water in a pot and then add the bitter lemon. Boil briefly before draining in a colander. Squeeze out excess water with your hands.
3. Mix the ☆ ingredients, and add the goya. Once it's well mixed, chill in the fridge. When it's chilled, top with bonito flakes and serve.
