Dashi Japanese-style Omelet

Dashi Japanese-style Omelet

Just mix the ingredients and microwave! A really easy dashimaki tamago. It's also soft and juicy.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Egg (medium)
Tofu (silken)
300 g
3 tablespoons
Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)
3 tablespoons
Grated daikon radish
To taste

1. Cover the bottom of a heatproof dish with plastic wrap so that no air can get through. ※ This is to prevent the egg mixture from sticking to the container.
2. Put the tofu in a bowl and whip with a whisk until it's the consistency of cream. Add the eggs when the tofu is smooth.
3. Add the mirin and mentsuyu to the bowl in Step 2. Mix it well.
4. Pour the egg mixture from Step 3 into the lined dish from Step 1, and wrap it in plastic wrap. Microwave for 8-10 minutes at 600 W.
5. Take the wrap off and let cool down a bit. Slice into pieces and serve with grated daikon radish.
6. I also tried making it in a Lekué silicone container. It's even easier because you don't have to wrap it in plastic wrap!

Story Behind this Recipe

My family loves dashimaki tamago, so I came up with this recipe that is easy to make and healthy at the same time. They loved it.
