Our Family's Genovese Sauce

This basil sauce, made with walnuts, can be used in a range of dishes.

Ingredients: 1/2 cup worth

20 g
Pine nuts
1 tablespoon
Garlic (finely chopped)
1 clove
Grated cheese
3 tablespoons
Extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons
1-2 teaspoons
Coarsely ground black pepper
to taste


1. Grind the shredded basil, walnuts, pine nuts and garlic in a mortar until smooth.
2. When smooth, add the rest of the ingredients, mix well and it's done! If you are using a food processor, just put everything in and mix it!
