Refer to Recipe ID: 580163 for preparing the chicken. Finely chop the ★ nuts and roast them in a frying pan.
Combine the ● ingredients in a bowl. Add the nuts from Step 1 and mix them in too.
Either cut or shred the boiled chicken, slice the cucumber into strips, thinly slice the tomato (you may want to peel the skin first) and plate. Add the sauce and it's ready!
For Ban Bang Chicken Noodles:
Dissolve a little Wei-pa (Chinese chicken soup base) in 50 ml of hot water and add that to the ● flavorings. Pour over the noodles and enjoy! This is enough for two servings of noodles.
Story Behind this Recipe
While searching online for a bang bang chicken sauce recipe I found one that had lots of nuts in it! I thought to myself, "Hey I should make this!" and modified the recipe to my liking.
Use as much nuts as you like! You could mix 3 different kinds or use just walnuts, anything works! This sauce is a bit more mild as my husband doesn't like sour foods. Add more vinegar and lemon juice if you want it to be more tart.
