Tuna and Kimchi Don Rice Bowl

Tuna and Kimchi Don Rice Bowl

I combined fresh tuna and kimchi with shiso leaves, green onions and sesame oil. It's flavored simply with mentsuyu sauce, and it's really tasty!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Plain cooked rice
2 large donburi bowls full
Lean tuna (Maguro, sashimi grade)
200 g
100 g
Shiso leaves
Green onion
Shredded nori seaweed
To taste
★ Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
2 1/3 tablespoons
★ Ground white sesame seeds
2 teaspoons
★ Sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon
★ Grated garlic
1/2 teaspoon

1. Chop up the kimchi and drain it lightly. Shred the shiso leaves. Slice the green onion thinly into rounds.
2. Mix the ★ flavoring ingredients together. Slice the tuna diagonally into bite sized pieces.
3. Mix everything except the nori seaweed and rice together. Mound on top of rice in a bowl, top with shredded nori seaweed and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

You can use storebought mentsuyu sauce to make this recipe easily, and it tastes really good! This goes really well with beer.
