Chilled Hiyayakko Tofu with Salty Scallion Sauce

This is my husband's original recipe and everyone in our family says 'Love this!' It goes really well with beer, sake or wine. Firm tofu is recommended for this recipe.

Ingredients

Green onions or scallions
If they are thin you need 4 of them
Firm tofu
1 block
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
black pepper
Add to taste

Steps

1. Chop scallions finely and mix them with 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and some black pepper in a bowl. Put the bowl in the fridge to rest.
2. Drain the tofu well and cut into bite size pieces. Put 1 on the top of tofu to serve.
