1. Put all of the ingredients except for the "topping" ingredients into the bread machine to make the dough until the first rising is complete.
2. Take the dough out of the machine, release the gas, fold into three layers, and divide into 8 pieces. Form into balls and cover with saran wrap for 15 minutes to complete the second rising.
3. Flatten out each ball and place the cut-in-half bacon in the center.
4. Roll them up starting from the edge closest to you. Make sure to securely close the seam.
5. Tightly stick the ends together.
6. Place the seam on the bottom and use a knife to cut about 3/4 of the way down, then open them up. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
7. Wrap them up and let sit until they become about double in size.
8. Place on a parchment lined baking tray and coat with beaten egg. Top with sliced onions.
9. Squirt mayonnaise on top of the onion.
10. Sprinkle on dried parsley on top of the mayonnaise. Bake for 15-20 minutes in a 200°C preheated oven.
