Oyako-don with 'Fu' Wheat Gluten

A different spin on your typical oyako don - with minced chicken and fu.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Hot cooked rice
2 bowls
Minced chicken thigh
200 g
Eggs
3
Onion
1/2
Fu
12 g
Vegetable oil
As needed
Mitsuba
To taste
★Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
★Mirin
3 tablespoons
★ Sugar
2 tablespoons
★Dashi stock granules
1 and 1/2 teaspoon
Water
150 ml

Steps

1. Slice the onion. Combine the ★ ingredients.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry and crumble the minced chicken. Add the onion and stir. Add the ★ ingredients and fu. Flip over the fu and simmer until the onion softens.
3. Pour over the lightly beaten eggs and turn off the heat when the egg is soft-set. Transfer onto the rice in a bowl and scatter with mitsuba.
