Very Yummy!! Curry Omurice

Very Yummy!! Curry Omurice

My children love this dish. They often ask me to make this on their birthday.
Cooking the rice with a rice cooker is far easer than stir-frying it!

Ingredients: 4 servings

White rice
2 rice cooker cups' worth (360 ml)
★ Carrot
1/2
★ Onion
1/2
★ Green peppers
1-2
★ Soup stock granules
1 tablespoon
★ Salt
1 teaspoon
Onion
1/2
Ground meat (beef and pork mix)
150 g
Water
300 ml
Ready-made curry roux
2 blocks
Egg
6-8
Milk
4 tablespoons
Heavy cream (optional)
as needed

Steps

1. Rinse the rice and cook in a rice cooker with the ★ ingredients and the required amount of water (not listed in ingredients).
2. Meanwhile, stir-fry the chopped onion and ground meat in a pan, and add the water. When it comes to a boil, turn the heat off. Add the curry roux and mix. Then turn the heat back on and simmer the mixture for a little while.
3. Beat the egg and mix it with milk. Heat some butter or margarine (not listed) in a frying pan and make an omelette per serving.
4. Arrange the cooked rice on the plate and place the omelette on top. Then pour the curry sauce over it and optionally garnish the dish with a touch of heavy cream or parsley.

Story Behind this Recipe

I combined omurice and curry, two of my children's favourite dishes.
