Tofu Cream Cheese

This spread tastes just like cream cheese, but it's really tofu It's great on a bagel or canapé, or even on a sandwich. You just have to mix it up in a food processor, so it's easy. It's a healthy cream cheese alternative.

Ingredients

Firm tofu
1 block
Garlic
1 clove
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Salt and pepper
as needed
Parsley
a small amount

Steps

1. Drain the tofu well.
2. Put the tofu, finely chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a food processor and mix until smooth.
3. Add the olive oil a little at a time to Step 2, mixing after each addition. Finally, add the finely chopped parsley and enjoy.
4. The picture shows it being used on chips made from lightly toasting shumai skins. It's easy, crispy, and delicious. It's great as a snack or to have while drinking.

I enjoyed various kinds of cheese on bagels in New York, but lately I've been wanting to eat healthier, so I made some using tofu.
