Fried Chicken Coated with Shredded Potato

Fried Chicken Coated with Shredded Potato

Because of the shredded potato coating, these chicken pieces are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.

Ingredients: 2-4 servings

Chicken (thigh or breast)
300 g
1 large
Cake flour and katakuriko
1 tablespoon each
Grated garlic
1 teaspoon
Salt and pepper
to taste
Frying oil
as needed

1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with the garlic, salt and pepper.
2. Peel the potato and finely shred with a knife or a slicer. Add the cake flour, katakuriko and 1 tablespoon of water (not listed) and mix quickly.
3. Coat the chicken with the potato mixture from Step 2.
4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken from Step 3 over medium heat.
5. Turn the pieces over occasionally and fry until it's a nice even golden brown all over. Drain the oil.
6. Transfer to a serving dish.
