My Masterpiece Taco Rice

My Masterpiece Taco Rice

An authentic Okinawan Taco Rice recipe approved by my father who lived in Okinawa. Enjoy the taco meat with tacos, or as a sandwich filling.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Ground beef (or a pork and beef blend)
400 g
Onions (minced)
1 tablespoon
★ Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
5 tablespoons
★ Ketchup
2 tablespoons
★Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
★ Curry powder
1 teaspoon
Tomatoes (cut into cubes)
2 medium sized
Lettuce (cut into squares)
Thin stripped cheese
Cooked rice
4 bowls
to your liking

1. Chop the tomatoes and lettuce into squares, and mince the onions.
2. Make the taco meat. Oil the pan, and cook the beef ground meat and onions. Once it's cooked, combine all the ★ ingredients, and cook on medium heat to evaporating the water. Transfer to a dish once the mixture begins to feel heavy.
3. Layer on a dish in the order of rice, taco meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. You could shred the lettuce, but chopping into squares are easier to eat.
4. Add salsa on top, and serve.
5. I tried making salsa sauce. It's very good, and I recommend it very much!! See recipe ID: 1513779
