Apple Compote In the Microwave

Slowly simmered apples are good but you can also take a shortcut and make it in the microwave.

Ingredients: 1-2 servings

10 g
10 g
○Soft light brown sugar
10 g
○Lemon juice
a small amount
to taste
1 Tablespoon


1. Peel the skin the take out the core of the apple. Cut into any size. Add the ○ ingredients to a heat-resistant bowl, loosely cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 3 minutes.
2. Take it out once and stir it, then wrap again and microwave for another 3 minutes. (If you want to let the alcohol from the rum evaporate off, add it at this point.)
3. When the apples become tender, they're OK. Add the ☆ ingredients and let cool.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to easily make the type of apple from tarts or apple pies, so I made this in the microwave. These are so tasty, it's great to have just by itself as well.
