Fava Beans, Shrimp, and Scallops in a Basil Mayonnaise Dressing

Fava Beans, Shrimp, and Scallops in a Basil Mayonnaise Dressing

This is a great dish to serve at parties. If you make it as an appetizer, you're sure to be asked how to make it. This is an easy, no-fuss recipe!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Fava beans
200 g
Shrimp (large)
10
Scallops (canned)
1 can
Mayonnaise
2-3 tablespoons (to taste)
Dried basil
to taste
Salt and pepper
to taste

Steps

1. Boil the fava beans, but not too much (about 5 minutes) and remove the membranes. If you over-boil them, they will become discolored, so adjust the boiling time as needed.
2. Prepare and boil the shrimp. While they're boiling, add a bit of sake to the pot. Use any size shrimp you like; even small ones are okay.
3. Combine the fava beans, scallops, shrimp, mayonnaise, basil, and salt. Add pepper for an even more delicious touch.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had a large amount of fava beans, so I made this for a party. It's great as an appetizer.
