When you are tired of shioyaki style fish, cook it in kabayaki style, with a teriyaki garlic sauce. You can enjoy nice aroma of garlic.

Pacific saury (sanma)

*Seriously Delicious Garlic Teriyaki Sauce

1 teaspoon
Katakuriko
as needed

Steps

1. Mix the teriyaki garlic sauce and grated ginger.
2. Fillet the pacific saury. Cut into your preferred size pieces. Ask your fishmonger to fillet the fish if it bothers you. ♪
3. Dust a generous amount of the katakuriko over the fish.
4. Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a frying-pan. Cook the fish in the pan from the skin-side first. Cook both sides.
5. When it gets crispy, add the sauce. Stir fry briefly.

I can get pacific saury cheaply, so it is very helpful because my household budget is limited. ♪ I often salt-grill the fish, but I wanted to enjoy more variety, so I cooked it in the aromatic garlic teriyaki sauce.
