All you have to do is cut the onion into wedges and simmer in plum vinegar. It's so simple, but amazingly delicious! This goes great in potato salad! This is great to add to bento lunch boxes, as it keeps for quite a while!
This is a macrobiotic side dish. This uses plum vinegar, which is a good remedy for upset stomachs.
Be sure to simmer on a low heat and don't blast it, otherwise the onions will stick together and become discoloured. Keep an eye on the pan, and gently agitate it every while.
