Maple Butter Rusks

Maple Butter Rusks

Enjoy the comforting aroma of maple syrup.

Ingredients: 1 baking tray's worth

Bread (your choice)
I used 1/3-1/2 baguette
30 g
Maple syrup
1 tablespoon
Soft brown sugar
2 teaspoons

1. Slice the bread thinly (5-7 mm). Preheat the oven to 110℃ and toast for 15 minutes.
2. Sandwich bread takes longer to toast. Keep an eye on it and adjust the baking time accordingly.
3. Mix the softened butter, maple syrup, and soft brown sugar together. Spread a thin layer of the mixed butter on the bread.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 110℃. They're done once they become crisp.
5. You can use maple sugar instead of maple syrup. Sprinkle it in the butter and then bake, or mix it together with the butter.

Story Behind this Recipe

I'm into making rusks and I wanted to post a recipe for sweet rusks. Since I love maple syrup, I made this maple syrup flavored rusk.
