Caramel Potatoes

Caramel Potatoes

You can mix this into bread dough or cake batter, but it's also delicious as is. Maybe it's too easy to be called a recipe.

Ingredients: Easily made portion

3 medium (net weight about 270 g)
10 g
Granulated sugar
2-3 tablespoons (adjust to taste)


1. Heat the potatoes in the microwave (about 5.5 - 6 minutes at 600W). When cooled, peel and cut into 1-1.5 cm cubes.
2. In a frying pan, heat butter, sugar, and a teaspoon of water (not listed) over medium heat. Let dissolve without stirring. When the edges start to brown, shake the pan until you get a uniform color.
3. Add the potatoes. Shake the pan and quickly caramelize the potatoes.

Story Behind this Recipe

I was making these to put into bread dough, and I picked out some to eat as-is and it was unexpectedly delicious (to me ; ). Butter and sugar is also used, but I think it could be a healthy snack.
