Green Brussels Sprout Salad

This is a gentle Brussels sprout salad dressed with creamed avocado. You can serve this dish warm or cold.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Brussels sprouts
Avocado (ripe)
Bacon (finely chopped)
2 slices
Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
●Krazy salt
2 pinches
●Garlic powder
to taste
●Black pepper
to taste


1. Cut each Brussels sprout into 4 wedges. Place the Brussels sprouts, a small amount of salt, and 2 tablespoons of water in a non-stick frying pan and cover with a lid. Steam-cook over a high heat for 1-1 and 1/2 minutes.
2. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the pan from Step 1 and set aside. Sauté the bacon.
3. Put the avocado in a bowl and mash to make a dip. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
4. Combine the ingredients from Steps 1, 2, and 3, and season with the ● ingredients. Serve warm or chill in the fridge.

Story Behind this Recipe

Ever since I tried Brussels sprouts for the first time last year, they have been one of my favourite ingredients. I've been trying out different ways to enjoy them. With this recipe, I made an avocado dip to dress the Brussels sprouts to make a tasty salad.
