Boiled Potatoes with Buttered Corn

Boiled Potatoes with Buttered Corn

This is really easy. The buttered corn is perfect with the potatoes.

Ingredients: 3 servings

5 (about 400 g)
Canned corn
1 can (medium size)
20 g
☆ Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
☆ Sugar
1 tablespoon
☆ The liquid from the canned corn
2 1/2 to 3 tablespoons

1. Mix the ☆ ingredients together. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and wash. Boil the potatoes until they can be easily pierced with a skewer.
2. Drain the potatoes and rinse out the pot. Put the ☆ ingredients in the pot and bring to a boil. Add the potatoes and coat with the ☆ ingredients.
3. Add 20g of butter and as much corn as you like. Shake the pan to evenly distribute the ingredients and to evaporate the liquid. Finished!
4. I used this brand of canned corn, which has 198 g. There was about 3 tablespoons of liquid.

Story Behind this Recipe

There was a recipe for chicken wings, potatoes and corn simmered in canned corn liquid in a supermarket flyer some time ago. I used to make it a lot, but I wondered if I could make a simpler version, so I adapted it to make a meatless boiled potato version.
