Bean Sprouts Teriyaki Hamburgers

The bean sprouts provide a crunchy texture and the shiso leaves are a refreshing accent!

Ingredients: 8 medium-sized patties

Combined ground beef and pork
△ Salt, pepper, nutmeg
A pinch of each
★ Panko, milk
2/3 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup milk
★ Egg
1 tablespoon
◎ Bean sprouts (chopped)
1 bag
▲ Shiso leaves (chopped)
10 leaves
For the teriyaki sauce:
Sake, sugar
2 tablespoons of each
Mirin, soy sauce
2-3 tablespoons of each


1. Wash the bean sprouts and chop into 1-2 cm pieces. Roughly chop the shiso leaves as well.
2. Add △ (salt, black pepper, and nutmeg) to the ground meat and knead thoroughly.
3. Combine the ★ , ◎ , eggs, and shiso leaves together.
4. Knead thoroughly.
5. Mold into your desired portions.
6. Once you flip them over, cover with a lid and steam over low heat for 6-7 minutes.
7. Blot out excess fat and water with a paper towel.
8. Add sake, sugar, and soy sauce in order, boil for 1-2 minutes over medium heat, and you are done!
