German Cornflake Cookies

German Cornflake Cookies

The combination of the crunchiness of cornflakes and the crispiness of the cookies is very delicious. This is also my mother-in-law's recipe.

Plain white flour
150 g
Margarine for baking
125 g
50 g
Baking powder
1 level teaspoon
Cornflakes (plain)
50 g
60 g

1. Mix margarine brought to room temperature and sugar. Add the egg. Sift the flour and baking powder, and mix in.
2. Roughly crush the cornflakes by hand.
3. Add cornflakes from Step 2 and the raisins to Step 1, and mix. Drop the dough on a baking sheet using 2 teaspoons. Bake in the preheated oven at 180℃ (350℉) for 10 minutes, and they're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

This kind of cookie is one of my mother-in-law's Christmas cookies. I usually don't like raisins, but I enjoy eating the ones in these cookies.
