Healthy Edamame and Tofu Dip

Healthy Edamame and Tofu Dip

The Mediterranean dish "hummus" is a dip usually made with chickpeas I changed it to tofu to make a healthy and delicious Japanese version.

Ingredients: easy to make amounts

Edamame (frozen)
200 g (when removed from shells - 100 g)
Firm tofu
80 g
White sesame seeds
2 tablespoons
1/2 tablespoon
*Or Tahini instead of sesame seeds and water (sesame paste, white sesame paste)
2 tablespoons
2 ~ 3 cloves
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Olive oil (I recommend extra virgin)
2 tablespoons
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Cumin powder
3/4 teaspoons + decoration

1. Defrost the edamame and set some aside for decoration. Place the remaining edamame and the other ingredients into a food processor. Blend until smooth.
2. Taste the flavor and adjust with salt, pepper, or lemon juice. Arrange on a dish and garnish with cumin powder and the leftover edamame to finish.
3. Accompany with your favorite chips and enjoy. I broke some pita bread into 6-8 pieces and toasted them in the oven to eat with the dip.

Story Behind this Recipe
