Extra Delicious! Dried Chicken

Season the chicken with salt and herbs, then dry outside in a mandarin orange net.
You'll get a delicious chicken with increased umami flavor.
Just dry and cook. Good for those who are busy during Christmas season!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken thigh or breast
1 large
1 tablespoon
White or black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Italian herb mix
1.5 tablespoon
Minced rosemary
1 (OK if you don't have)


1. Rub salt and pepper, herb mix, and minced rosemary into the chicken well.
2. Place the chicken in a net or the equivalent that came with mandarin oranges. Set outside in a well-ventilated area for at least half a day, a whole day if possible.
3. Cook using a grill. If cooking in a frying pan, spread out about 1 tablespoon of oil and cook from the skin on medium heat until the skin is crispy, then turn it over and cook the other side similarly. If you cook it in an oven or a grill, it renders the oil for a lighter finish.
4. Cut into thick slices, eat as-is, or put on top of a salad.

Story Behind this Recipe

I tried making this like dried vegetables. When I'm in a hurry I leave this out to dry in the morning with the laundry, then I can eat it at night.
For the herbs, use whatever you have at home.
