For Weight Loss: Instant Oatmeal Bars

I was inspired by another user's recipe and Nature Valley's Crunchy Granola Bars to make these oatmeal bars. I reduced the calories as much as possible. They're perfect when you want something sweet when you're on a diet!!

Ingredients: about 12 thin bars

Oatmeal
2 bags (28 g x 2 = 200 kcal)
Whole wheat flour
4 tablespoons (about 100 kcal)
Choose one of the following flavor combinations
1. Honey flavor
Honey
4 tablespoons
2. Peanut butter flavor
Honey
2 tablespoons
Peanut butter
2 tablespoons
3. Maple cinnamon flavor
Maple syrup
4 tablespoons
Cinnamon
1 teaspoon
4. Maple syrup flavor
Maple syrup
4 tablespoons

Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
2. Put the oatmeal, whole wheat flour and one of the variations numbers 1 through 4 in a bowl, and mix.
3. Make 2 sheets of parchment paper ready. Spread out the mixture on one, lay the other sheet on top, and roll over it with a rolling pin. The thinner you can make it, the crispier it will become.
4. Peel the top kitchen parchment paper sheet off, and score the dough with a knife so that it will be easier to cut later on.
5. Place the dough on a oven baking pan, and bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
6. Cut it up following the score lines. Cool on a rack and they're done.
7. If you scatter the mixture on a baking pan and bake it, it turns into muesli. Serve with yogurt!
