Dried Sakura shrimp

2 tablespoons
Warm cooked rice
2 heaped bowls
★Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
★Tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons
★Chilli sauce (or sweet chilli)
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
to taste

1. Thinly slice the onion and cut the bacon into thin strips. Grease the frying pan with a little oil and put it on high heat. Then add the mince meat, onion, bacon and half of the shrimps into the pan and stir-fry them. Season them with a little salt and pepper.
2. Once the onion has become translucent, add the rice and continue to stir-fry it. Once the rice and other ingredients are thoroughly mixed together, pour in the ★ ingredients and continue to mix and stir-fry.
3. Add the rest of the shrimps and combine them into the mixture well.
4. Add the rice to a bowl and top with a half-set fried egg to serve.
5. If you make this dish with fish sauce instead of soy sauce it will taste even more authentic For bento lunches I top the rice with a fully cooked fried egg.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love nasi goreng but it uses a lot of ingredients and seasoning, some of which are really hard to get hold of so I tried making this simplified version with ingredients that I already had.
