Pasta with Spinach and Parmesan Cheese

Here's a recipe for pasta tossed with spinach and parmesan cheese flavored with garlic. An easy and speedy recipe.

Ingredients: 1 Serving

100 g
1/2 bunch (about 100 g)
1 clove
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Parmesan cheese
As preferred (I recommend lots)
Salt and pepper
As needed


1. Roughly chop the spinach into bite sizes. Either slice or mince the garlic. Cook pasta al dente in plenty of salted water.
2. When the pasta has 3 minutes left, heat olive oil in a pan. Add garlic and fry over low heat until fragrant.
3. When fragrant, turn the heat to medium high. Cook the spinach stem briskly, then add the leaves to stir fry.
4. Add the cooked pasta into the frying pan from Step 3. If the pan seems too dry, add pasta water. Turn the heat off when the pasta seems to mix well with the spinach. Season with Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

Story Behind this Recipe

I'm hooked on Parmesan cheese these days. Because I love the combination of parmesan and spinach, I tossed them into pasta. I made this with regular spinach, but try using "chijimi" spinach that's harvested during the cold seasons. Make this dish with delicious spinach!
